Facilitated by Kathy Armstrong and Andrea Prazmowski

Andrea Prazmowski is a Certified Forest Therapy Guide and returns again and again to the forest for the wisdom and sense of belonging she finds there. Through Forest Wellness Walks she offers ways for participants to slow down, focus on the present moment and awaken the senses to nature's artistry and the "medicine" of the forest.  The practice has proven therapeutic health benefits, helping us shift from the stressful pace of our lives to a place where we can breathe, be, and play. Andrea has 15 years experience in group facilitation, is a Certified Hike Leader, qualified in Wilderness First Aid, and has training in Reiki and Healing Pathway.

Kathy Armstrong is a percussionist and educator who uses drumming to inspire and connect people of all ages. Originally trained in western music education, she brings more than twenty-five years of study of Ghanaian drumming and dance to her work. She founded Baobab Community Arts in 1995, and teaches at Carleton University in the music department. In designing the Pulse! Rhythm and Wellness workshops, Kathy was looking for an opportunity to incorporate the Ghanaian rainforest piece "Bell Forest" into a Canadian forest so she is especially excited about this collaboration with Andrea!
